Job summary

The Buckeye Ranch is seeking a Teacher to join our Day Treatment & Education team. This Teacher will plan and direct learning experiences, including academic and behavioral management, during the school year.

Responsibilities include collecting IEP data, drafting Annual Reviews, and leading meetings related to IEPs and placement. We offer compensation based on education and teaching experience, with increased pay for relevant education and experience, plus a benefits package supporting medical,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in education; master’s degree preferred.
Active educator license in the state of Ohio.
Preferably a licensed Intervention Specialist.
Active driver’s license and proof of car insurance.

Responsibilities

Use trauma-informed interventions to engage students.
Educate students, families, and providers about behavior plans, prevention, self-management, peer support and recovery.
Manage behavioral health crises through appropriate interventions.
Report to students, families, and home school district on grades and IEP data every 9 weeks.
Effectively implement trauma informed strategies which create a strength-based, structured environment conducive to learning and healing.
Create effective lesson plans, implements individual and group instructional strategies and accurately assesses students.
