Job summary

Devereux Arizona’s Residential Treatment Center (RTC) in Scottsdale seeks Direct Care Professionals to provide 24-hour support for youth aged 7 to 17 with emotional and behavioral health challenges. You will help with mental health needs, safety, and daily living activities while documenting progress and coordinating with clinical staff.

Responsibilities include planning enrichment activities, supporting treatment plans, and attending supervision meetings, with shift options including afternoons

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or relevant field preferred.
• Six weeks of behavioral health work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Direct support duties include helping individuals with their mental health, managing behaviors and emotional needs, and de-escalating crisis situations.
• Assist with treatment plan implementation and personal care tasks such as bathing and dressing; transport and social skills development.
• Document progress for daily, weekly, and monthly logs; adhere to the activity schedule and attend weekly clinical supervision meetings.
• Plan and implement enrichment activities including art, music, culinary arts and various athletics; support adult-transition prep.

Education

High School Diploma or GED required

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or relevant field preferred
