Job summary

Refuge for Women seeks a Direct Care Associate to work on-site in the program house on a PRN basis. The role emphasizes safety, leadership, and accountability, guiding residents through the trauma-informed program while maintaining healthy boundaries and effective communication.

The DCA will support daily program operations, respond to crises, document shift activities, and coordinate transportation for residents to meetings and activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist program director in day-to-day activities with residents.
• Follow procedures during crises or unexpected situations.
• Complete Communication Log at shift end.
• Provide feedback to program directors to support resident progress.
• Uphold resident guidelines and program requirements during shift.
• Coordinate transportation for activities as needed.
• Collaborate with volunteers for safe house activities.
• Participate in staff meetings and trainings.
• Encourage residents to complete tasks and classwork.
