Job summary

Walsh Academy seeks a passionate CTE Trades and Manufacturing Teacher to lead hands-on instruction in carpentry, silkscreen, culinary arts, or electrical/HVAC/welding. The role emphasizes trauma-informed teaching for diverse learners with special needs, integrating academics with social-emotional development.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to integrate curriculum, supervise labs, ensure safety, and expand work-based learning opportunities for students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution.
• PEL with CTE endorsement or ELS-CTE licensure.
• Documented minimum of 2,000 hours of experience in the CTE field.
• Experience with special education or diverse student populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement hands-on curriculum aligning with CTE standards.
• Provide differentiated instruction for diverse learners in a lab setting.
• Supervise classroom and lab safety and maintain progress records.
• Collaborate with social workers and paraprofessionals to support social-emotional needs.
• Coordinate with administration to arrange work-based learning and internships.
