Job summary

House of Ruth Maryland seeks a Crisis Response Manager to oversee 24/7 crisis operations including Hotline, Chat line, walk-in triage, VCE, and LAP. You will lead trauma-informed, survivor-centered services and supervise a dedicated team while managing referrals and community partnerships.

The role requires in-person presence at least 85% of the time at our Baltimore office, with occasional local travel. Strong leadership and IPV expertise are essential for compliant, compassionate service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or equivalent; 5+ years crisis management.
• Minimum 2 years supervising staff, volunteers, or interns.
• Experience in crisis intervention, case management, trauma-informed services.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities; strong leadership.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Hotline, VCE, and LAP staff and foster team culture.
• Manage day-to-day operations of Hotline, Chat line, walk-in services, LAP, and VCE processes.
• Provide direct crisis support with at least 25 hours per week coverage.
• Oversee emergency assistance distribution (eviction, utilities, food, relocation, transportation).
• Maintain relationships with landlords and partners to improve housing access.
• Lead monthly Hotline shifts and on-call rotations for 24/7 coverage.
