Job summary

YWCA Northeast Kansas is seeking a Crisis Case Manager to support survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking. You will provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and short-term case management at the Central Office, guiding clients to ongoing advocacy and resources.

You will work under the Crisis Services Manager, navigate complex needs, coordinate with community partners, and maintain strict confidentiality while serving in a trauma-informed environment.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Social Work, Public Health, Human Services, or related field.
  • Understanding of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking.
  • Knowledge of local community resources and support services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in crisis settings.
  • Ability to travel within service areas and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary responder for walk-in clients, providing crisis intervention, safety planning, assessment, and referrals.
  • Provide survivor-centered advocacy and emotional support to victims of violence.
  • Assist victims in filing protective orders and explain legal processes.
  • Respond to hotline calls and other requests for crisis services.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify safety concerns and stabilization needs.
  • Provide advocacy and transportation to medical, legal, housing, and community services.
  • Maintain a stabilization-focused caseload and connect clients with ongoing services.
  • Provide supportive counseling, resource navigation, and referrals aligned with client goals.
  • Refer to shelter, case management, counseling, housing, and medical care as needed.
  • Maintain documentation and communicate with partners; participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
