Job summary

Crime Victim Center in Missouri seeks a licensed mental health professional to provide trauma-focused counseling and crisis support for crime survivors.

You will develop and lead group services, document services in the client database, and generate program statistics under supervision.

The role requires a Master’s degree, licensure preferred, willingness to work evenings/weekends, and the ability to operate in a high-crime area with discretion.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker preferred; provisional license accepted.
• Experience with victims of crime is highly desirable.
• Ability to respond effectively in crises and with diverse populations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• Must have own transportation and be willing to work some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed counseling (weekly 50 minutes) for crime victims served by NHN and CVC.
• Develop and facilitate groups for NHN and CVC clients; groups may be in-person or virtual.
• Document services in client database on the day of service; maintain confidentiality per laws.
• Produce and maintain statistics on services and participants for the Director of Clinical Services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
