Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related behavioral science field.
• New York State licensure as a counselor (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent).
• Experience working with trauma-exposed individuals.
• Proficiency in trauma-informed care principles and practices.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
• Compassion, empathy, and nonjudgmental counseling approach.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and EMR systems (eCW).
• Cultural competency and awareness of diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine client needs and design individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver individual and group counseling using trauma-informed approaches.
• Collaborate with professionals and community resources for holistic care.
• Maintain accurate client records in line with regulations.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate clients on coping strategies and self-care techniques.
• Create a safe, supportive therapeutic environment for healing and recovery.
• Prepare reports, records, and other required documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
