Methuen Public Schools invites applications for the COMPASS Program Coordinator to provide trauma-informed clinical, social-emotional, academic, and family engagement supports for students in foster care.

The position focuses on building a high-functioning COMPASS program to re-engage students academically and socially, with strong collaboration among educators, families, and outside providers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, social work, school counseling, clinical counseling, or a closely related field.
• Bilingual preferred – English, Spanish, Arabic, and French.
• Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive transition plans coordinating clinical, care coordination, academic, family, and classroom supports for COMPASS students.
• Provide therapeutic services to identified students to support transition back to general education.
• Lead care coordination with school staff, caregivers, outside providers, and community partners.
• Provide individual and small-group clinical support using trauma-informed practices aligned with student goals.
• Support academic success through accommodations/interventions and skill-building.
• Assist in crisis intervention and serve on the school's Crisis Team when necessary
• Maintain confidential student records and enter data into appropriate systems.
