Job summary

Clinical and Support Options, Inc. (CSO) seeks part-time Clinicians to join the CBHC Emergency Services Program in Gardner, MA.

The ESP provides 24-hour behavioral health assessments, interventions, and stabilization for youth, families, and adults, with nursing and peer support available. The role focuses on clinical assessments in crisis settings, risk assessment, and coordination with community agencies.

Qualifications

• Clinical Master’s degree required in a relevant field.
• Post-master’s degree experience preferred.
• Eligible for or hold Massachusetts licensure LICSW or LMHC (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct trauma-informed mental health assessments and provide disposition; consult to medical personnel, police, and collaterals as indicated.
• Respond to clients in safe, feasible settings following CBHC guidelines across homes, schools, residential programs, group homes, nursing facilities, and hospitals as needed.
• Provide clinical services to residents of the CCS program including risk assessment for unplanned discharges and screening interviews for inpatient step-down admissions.
• Maintain positive professional relations with other agencies and community partners; represent CBHC services professionally and liaise with community hospitals.
• Complete credentialing requirements for hospitals where services are provided, including vaccinations, tox screens, and safety/health education competencies.
• Attend in-service trainings on evidence-based practices and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Receive regular supervision meetings and monthly staff meetings with Program Managers.
