Job summary
Abode Services is seeking a Children’s Program Provider to coordinate educational and recreational activities for children in Alameda County. The role includes evening work and some weekends, serving toddlers to high school students, and partnering with the Services Team to ensure access to onsite and community resources.
The position emphasizes culturally sensitive, trauma-informed care and requires a Bachelor’s in a related field, plus experience with children.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or early childhood preferred.
- Bachelor-level education in human services or related fields required.
- Lived experience with homelessness/poverty is valued.
Responsibilities
- Provide weekly children’s programming for residents with educational, recreational, and therapeutic activities.
- Collaborate with Service Coordinators to develop individual family plans.
- Develop age-appropriate curricula to support children's development.
- Conduct parent conferences to discuss progress and needs.
- Maintain accurate client files and monthly reports.
- Deliver trauma-informed, culturally sensitive services to diverse families.
- Administer developmental screenings and coordinate with resources.
