Job summary

Volunteers of America, Utah is seeking a dedicated Case Manager to deliver comprehensive, trauma-informed case management services. You’ll help clients access housing, employment, and benefits, coordinating with behavioral health and legal partners to support stability and long-term self-sufficiency.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year experience in mental health/substance use fields, a related degree, and are prepared to obtain DHS case management certification within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in mental health/substance abuse programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Must qualify and pass Utah DHS Case Management Certification within 60 days of hire.
• Familiarity with Trauma Informed Care and Motivational Interviewing.
• Uphold confidentiality regulations and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop a case management services plan within the first week of admission and document findings.
• Assist clients with securing housing, employment, and public benefits as appropriate.
• Attend weekly treatment team meetings and update on client progress.
• Meet with each client weekly to review progress on treatment and case management goals.
• Maintain accurate client records and timely documentation of services.
• Coordinate services with community partners and coordinate referrals.
