Job summary

Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS) is hiring for an Assistant Case Manager/Case Aide at the Welcome Center in Phoenix, AZ. This role supports families and children, transports clients, assists with applications, and delivers case services within a compassionate, mission-driven team.

Shift is Sunday-Thursday, 2:00 PM–11:00 PM with a 5% 2nd shift differential. Salary listed as $18.55/hour, with potential growth and state benefits. Close date 2026-10-12, applying through dcs.az.gov/careers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory 39-month driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Work history, Central Registry and Public Record will be considered.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Transport clients and ensure proper use of child safety seats.
• Assist clients with application processes.
• Provide Case Assistance to participants involved in child safety services.
• Engage, observe and interact with children (e.g., lice treatments, diapers, potty training, bathing).
• Provide trauma informed care to children.
• Perform housekeeping functions (e.g., laundry, cleaning dishes, preparing meals).
• Participate in professional meetings and deliver goods as requested.
• Document client interactions and activities.
