Just Compassion is seeking a Billing Specialist to coordinate rent and utility payments for HRSN participants. You will work with the finance team to ensure timely, accurate disbursement of funds and maintain precise billing records.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed communication, organizational efficiency, and detailed documentation. This is a full-time position in Lane County, with starting pay at $23.50 per hour and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in billing, finance, property management, or a related administrative role.
• Proficient in Excel; experience with billing software or databases is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process and submit rent, utility, and housing-related payments for HRSN participants.
• Communicate with participants by phone and text to gather documentation and provide updates.
• Track billing timelines, due dates, and supporting documentation for each case.
• Collaborate with the Finance Department to ensure timely delivery of checks and verifications.
• Assist in submitting accurate timecards and billing documentation to Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs).
• Maintain accurate and organized billing records in internal databases and spreadsheets.
