Job summary

AbsoluteCare is seeking a Behavioral Health Clinician to provide short-term, individualized interventions within an integrated care team. The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and motivational interviewing to improve members' health and adherence to treatment.

Qualifications

• Licensed in state with 3+ years in behavioral health.
• Licenses may include LCSW-C, LCPC.
• 2+ years in a community mental health center or similar setting.
• Experience with Medicaid/Medicare beneficiaries preferred.
• Telehealth experience preferred.
• Excellent clinical judgment and ability to manage a caseload.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and post-discharge follow-up behavioral health therapy with SMART goals.
• Deliver crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed.
• Serve as behavioral health SME within an interdisciplinary care team.
• Use trauma-informed care, harm-reduction, and motivational interviewing in care.
• Promote adherence to treatment plans and communicate with PCP/psychiatrist.
• Document patient care in electronic health records within 1 business day.
• Develop and support treatment plans for chronic mental illness including Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Depression, Anxiety.
• Schedule appointments and address barriers to attendance.
• Develop and maintain group therapy curriculum for the population.
