Job summary

St Joseph Catholic Orphans Society seeks a Therapeutic Behavior Support Specialist to assist with crisis prevention, debriefing and one-on-one support in a residential setting. You will lead trauma-informed interventions, de-escalate crises, and help run daily cottage routines while ensuring medication is administered safely.

Collaboration with the treatment team, school, and external providers is essential to tailor crisis intervention plans and support client progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• CPR, First Aid and Safe Crisis Management certifications required.
• Defensive driving training and valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support and crisis intervention for clients.
• Lead trauma-informed interventions and model appropriate behavior.
• Oversee medication administration during shifts to minimize errors.
• Collaborate with school and external providers as needed.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and develop individualized plans.
• Respond to emergencies per policy and training.
