Job summary

The House of the Good Shepherd in Utica, NY is seeking a behavioral health leader to design and implement trauma-informed care aligned with OMH rules. You will supervise interdisciplinary teams, perform functional assessments, and develop individualized plans for youth with challenging behaviors.

Responsibilities include data-driven treatment planning, on-call support, staff training, and ensuring high-quality, compliant care across programs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a human services field or Bachelor's in OT with 2 years' relevant experience.
• Commitment to Sanctuary Model commitments and trauma-informed care.
• Knowledge of OMH regulations and governance requirements.
• Ability to develop and monitor individualized behavior plans with an interdisciplinary team.
• Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting for treatment planning.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve alignment with OMH regulations and agency policies.
• Provide clinical direction to ensure high-quality care.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Participate in on-call duties as necessary.
• Support staff and maintain Sanctuary environment per commitments.
• Perform functional behavior assessments and develop interventions.
• Create individual behavior plans as part of the team.
• Collect and present data to inform decisions.
• Generalize skills to home settings with families and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Deliver staff training and mentor direct care staff.
• Lead projects to elevate behavior analysis practice.
• Consult on implementation of behavior plans and guide team performance.
