Job summary

NEARI School in Easthampton, MA is seeking a Behavioral Interventionist for the high school program. The role supports students with behavioral and mental health needs in a twelve-month day school setting for learning-disabled and related populations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related field preferred.
• Experience with autism or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and protocols.
• Familiarity with ABA principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral support and intervention to individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop behavior intervention plans.
• Implement behavior support strategies and techniques based on applied behavior analysis principles.
• Monitor and track progress of individuals' behavior goals and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care and consistency of plans.
• Provide crisis intervention and management as needed.
• Administer medication as prescribed and document medical information accurately.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information per HIPAA regulations.
• Complete required documentation, including medical records and progress notes.
