Job summary

Arrow Child & Family Ministries is seeking a Behavior Counselor to support program-wide behavior management and crisis intervention. You will coach staff, assist in trainings, and help implement individual behavior plans for residents and students in a child welfare setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with experience with children and families; a bachelor’s degree is preferred, with an RBT certification as an option. On-site work in Towson, MD is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with at least 1 year of experience with children and families.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; may be substituted with an RBT certification.
• May be certified as a trainer in related models and interventions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in trainings on crisis prevention, behavior management and trauma-informed care.
• Work with treatment teams to develop and implement individual behavior plans.
• Supervise clients to observe social behavior and coach direct care staff.
• Coordinate behavior plans with treatment team strategies and interventions.
• Provide a consistent and reliable supportive presence.
• Complete crisis intervention and behavior intervention documentation.
