Job summary

Sequoyah Adolescent Treatment Center is seeking a Behavioral Health Therapist to provide inpatient treatment for adolescent males aged 13-17. You will conduct assessments, individual, group and family therapy, and case management, with representation at legal proceedings and discharge.

Ideal candidates hold NM licensure (LMSW/LISW/LMHC/LMFT/LPCC/LCSW/LPAT) or provisional licensure with full licensure within 1 year, plus 1 year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate holds NM licensure as LMSW/LISW/LMHC/LMFT/LPCC/LCSW/LPAT or provisional licensure with full licensure within 1 year.
• One year of experience related to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License and pass pre-employment background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient treatment, assessments, individual, group and family therapy, and case management.
• Represent residents at legal proceedings and at discharge.
• Collaborate with CYFD and JJS providers; work with youths who may exhibit violent behavior.
• Utilize Crisis Prevention Intervention and Trauma Informed Care; employ de-escalation techniques.
