Job summary

Sunrise Residential Treatment Center is seeking a compassionate Mental Health Therapist to guide adolescents (12–17) on an on-site campus in Utah. You will deliver individual, family, and group therapy using trauma‑informed and evidence‑based modalities, with a focus on relational and experiential care.

The role includes managing a small caseload, developing treatment plans, and coordinating discharge planning with families. Strong licensure or eligibility and CAQH/NPI readiness are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
• Active Utah licensure or eligibility for one of the following: CSW, AMFT, ACMHC, LCSW, LMFT, LCMHC.
• Willingness to establish CAQH profile and obtain an NPI.
• 2+ years of therapy experience; 1+ year in residential settings using relational/experiential modalities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a small caseload (6 clients) with emphasis on family engagement and parent coaching.
• Facilitate Individual, Family, and Group Therapy using trauma‑informed, evidence‑based modalities.
• Create comprehensive discharge plans with youth and families for continuity of care.
• Maintain clinical compliance with timely documentation and MTP standards.
• Deliver client-centered, culturally competent therapy tailored to adolescents and families.
• Apply DBT, TF-CBT, ACT, and related modalities to support progress.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and physicians for holistic treatment.
