Job summary

The Surgical Trauma ICU (STICU) at Carolinas Medical Center, part of Advocate Health, is seeking an experienced RN for full-time night shifts. The unit emphasizes critical care monitoring for traumatic injuries and post-surgical recovery, with weekend and holiday rotation.

Requires active RN license in NC, BLS, and ACLS within 6 months of hire. Three 12-hour nights (1900-0700) 36 hours/week; prior inpatient RN experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 6 months RN experience; not for new grads.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification required; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Preference for 1 year inpatient RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process.
• Lead efforts to create a safe environment and enhance the patient experience.
