Job summary

Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC, is seeking an experienced RN for the Surgical Trauma ICU 11L. This full-time role features three 12-hour night shifts (1900–0700) with weekend/holiday rotation and a 36-hour workweek in a premier Level 1 Trauma center.

The job requires an accredited nursing program completion, NC RN license, BLS, ACLS within six months, and 6+ months of RN practice, preferably inpatient. Atrium Health supports growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• At least 6 months RN experience; not for new graduates.
• Registered Nurse license in the practice state.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification (American Heart Association).
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using nursing process.
• Deliver safe, therapeutic care following established standards and policies.
• Utilize evidence-based practice and clinical decision making.
• Communicate effectively with the care team and patients to ensure safety.
• Lead efforts to maintain a safe patient environment and positive experience across the continuum.
