Job summary

ThedaCare Neenah ICU is seeking an experienced RN to provide direct, high-stakes care in a fast-paced environment. You will monitor critically ill patients, titrate medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient-centered outcomes.

Requirements include Wisconsin RN licensure, BLS/ACLS within 6 months, and a commitment to professional development. The role offers a 0.75 FTE schedule with 12-hour rotating shifts and weekend variations.

Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin RN license or valid compact license.
• BSN within five years if not already BSN.
• BLS and ACLS certification within 6 months of hire date.
• Physical ability to move and lift up to 50 pounds.
• At least 1 year hospital RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to critically ill patients, including those requiring ventilatory support and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and manage complex treatments.
• Perform assessments, monitor vital signs, and report changes to the care team.
• Maintain patient stability using invasive and non-invasive monitoring techniques.
• Assist with procedures such as central line insertions and airway management.
• Document care activities accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with physicians and other specialists to plan patient care.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and progress.
• Respond to codes and emergencies with life-saving interventions as needed.
