Job summary

Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, VA, seeks a Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team. The RN documents care, educates patients and families, and contributes to quality initiatives in a leading acute care facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license.
• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• BLS/Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers and care team.
• Documents administration of care in the patient medical record.
• Teaches patients and families about condition, plan, medications, and follow-up measures.
• Leads evidence-based practices and participates in quality improvement initiatives.
• Coordinates a holistic treatment plan with multidisciplinary team.
