Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Med Surg Trauma ICU Registered Nurse (RN) at Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix to deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced trauma/ICU setting. You will perform critical assessments, lead care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes acute care expertise, strong communication, and adherence to evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• AZ RN license or RN license from a Compact State.
• One year recent acute care experience.
• American Heart Association: BLS and ACLS within 6 months.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Basic Computer Skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective evidence-based nursing care.
• Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with comfort.
• Demonstrates accountability for ethical behavior and escalation when needed.
• Advocates for patients with holistic care approaches.
• Recognizes and responds to changes in patient condition promptly.
• Uses SBAR to notify physicians and performs bedside nurse-to-nurse reports.
