Job summary

Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care in a high-acuity setting. You will perform critical assessments, execute complex care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited nursing degree, an AZ RN license (or compact state), ACLS within 90 days, and BLS. One year of acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year acute care experience.
• AZ Registered Nurse license (or compact state).
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS-CPR).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 Days.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patient.
• Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patient.
• Demonstrates accountability for own ethical behavior, and supports ethical practice by addressing and/or escalating issues.
• Serves as an advocate for patients needs by demonstrating holistic care practices.
• Demonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt to changes in patients condition (i.e. Lab, vitals, signs and test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner.
• Utilizes SBAR format tool to notify physicians, and other providers of clinical findings, performs nurse-to-nurse report at the bedside.
