Job summary

Extant Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled General Surgeon with Trauma Experience to join our expanding surgical team at Common Spirit Holy Cross Hospital. This role offers a mix of trauma and general surgery with a 24-hour home call in a community hospital setting and the potential to develop an elective practice.

Qualifications

• Board Certification in General Surgery (Fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care not required).
• Current, unrestricted medical license in the state.
• ATLS certification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong decision-making abilities and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency surgical procedures for trauma patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Participate in trauma call rotation.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of surgical techniques and advancements in trauma care.
