Safe Horizon in New York, NY, seeks a trauma-informed professional to support child victims of sexual and severe physical abuse and their families within a CAC multidisciplinary team. You will participate in forensic interviews, provide on-site mental health services, and coordinate referrals to trauma-focused services while maintaining accurate case files in NCATrak.

You will work in a fast-paced, anti-oppressive environment, collaborating with a diverse team, with bilingual Spanish skills

Competenze

• Master’s Degree in Social Work required (unless you are less than 3-6 months from fulfilling graduate school completion requirements) or a related mental health field considered.
• Clinical licensure preferred.
• Expertise in Forensic Interviewing or willingness to acquire this specialized skill required.
• Excellent communication, engagement, interviewing, crisis intervention and assessment skills needed.
• Ability to work and thrive as a member of a multidisciplinary team, in a fast-paced environment.

• Learn and integrate a trauma-informed, client-centered approach.
• Participate in the forensic interview process through leading or observing interviews and coordinating services.
• Conduct a thorough assessment of the child and non-offending family members.
• Provide trauma-focused intervention and victim advocacy and coordinate referrals to trauma-focused treatment.
• Participate in case planning and case review meetings and coordinate interventions.
