Zusammenfassung

Safe Horizon seeks a qualified professional to join the Child Trauma Response Team in New York City. The role focuses on trauma-informed, client-centered engagement with children and families affected by domestic violence and other crimes, coordinating with NYPD, ACS, and CVAP partners to provide timely support and referrals.

The position requires a Master’s degree in social work (or near completion), LMHC eligibility is welcome, and bilingual Spanish is preferred to serve diverse communities.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in social work required (unless within 3–6 months of completion)
• LMHC welcome in addition to social workers
• Experience with children and families impacted by domestic violence, abuse and/or trauma
• Experience with community-based outreach, first responder work a plus
• Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team; flexible and able to work with various arms of criminal justice and child protection systems
• Strong written and communication skills; Bi-Lingual Spanish preferred

Aufgaben

• Learn and integrate trauma-informed, client-centered approach into work with clients
• Develop relationships with city partners to coordinate responses and advocate for children and families
• Coordinate service provision with CTRT advocates and CVAP for children and families impacted by violence
• Implement trauma-informed crisis responses for child victims and families during outreach and follow-up
• Administer trauma screenings and assessments to children and caregivers
• Deliver case management and practical services with Safe Horizon program staff
• Link clients to trauma-focused treatment services when necessary
• Participate in supervised trainings and cross-training with NYPD
• Track client data and outcomes with Research & Evaluation Department
• Enter data into CMS and RedCap systems
