Job summary

The MetroHealth System in Cleveland, OH seeks a Trauma and Emergency General Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to deliver direct patient care in collaboration with trauma and EGS physicians. The APP conducts pre-, intra-, and post-operative management, supports non-surgical options, and participates in multidisciplinary planning.

The role rotates with the Fisher Titus Level 3 Trauma Center in Norwalk to ensure consistent high-quality care across sites.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in an accredited AGACNP/ACNP program
• National certification through NCCPA, ANCC, or AACN
• Licensure as PA or APRN in Ohio; RN licensure in Ohio
• DEA registration eligibility granted or in process
• ATLS and BLS certifications obtained within specified timelines
• Advanced life support certifications as applicable to practice

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with trauma and EGS teams to complete rounds on trauma floors and ICU
• Respond to ED consults for EGS; gather data and interpret labs/imaging to plan care
• Provide bedside care and potentially serve as surgical first assistant
• Document care plans promptly and work with multidisciplinary team for disposition
• Support standardized trauma protocols, ATLS-based stabilization and post-op care
• Promote preventive care and patient advocacy across patient populations
