Job summary

MetroHealth in Cleveland is seeking a Trauma and Emergency General Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to deliver direct patient care in collaboration with trauma and general surgery teams, including diagnosis, management, and perioperative care across ED, ICU, and floors.

The APP will participate in rounds, assist with trauma resuscitation, and help develop disposition plans with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited master's degree program for PA, AGACNP, or ACNP.
• National certification through NCCPA, ANCC, or AACN.
• Ohio licensure as PA/APRN and RN; DEA eligibility.
• BLS certification current or within 90 days.
• ATLS certification within 180 days; other advanced life support certs as applicable.
• Knowledge of sterile technique and aseptic practices.
• Meet credentialing requirements and privileges at MetroHealth.
• Maintain supervision arrangement as required by Ohio law.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with trauma/EGS attendings, residents, and APPs for daily rounds on trauma floors and ICU.
• Respond to ED consults for EGS, interpret labs/imaging and document care plans.
• Perform bedside procedures and assist in intra-/post-operative care.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for disposition planning.
• Respond to trauma cases in resuscitation bay and stabilize high-acuity patients per ATLS.
• Promote preventative health and patient advocacy.
• Rotate to Fisher Titus in Norwalk to provide high-quality care.
