Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a registered nurse to join the Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department at the Main Campus. Responsible for patient assessments, triage, trauma care, IV access, blood draws, and catheterization, with rotating shifts and weekends.

Must hold Ohio RN licensure and current certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS). PRN requires 1 year of RN experience and current certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS, ACLS or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• PALS certification or obtained within 6 months.
• TNCC certification or obtained within 1 year.
• NIHSS Stroke certification or obtained within 90 days.
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Patient assessments and triage for acutely ill patients.
• Trauma care and supportive care in Level 1 center.
• IV insertion, blood draws, Foley catheter insertion.
• Time management, critical thinking, and delegation within ICU/ED team.
