Job summary

MetroHealth Main Campus Emergency Department seeks a Registered Nurse for the Level 1 Trauma Center. The role involves patient assessments, triage, trauma care, IV insertion, and coordination with a multidisciplinary team. Gold-standard nursing practice and timely decision-making are essential.

Requirements include OH RN license, BLS/ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and at least 1 year of RN experience for PRN. Shift: 7p–7a with rotating weekends/holidays; 72 hours biweekly.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or pursuing accreditation.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS, ACLS (or obtained within 90 days of hire).
• PALS certification or within 6 months of hire.
• TNCC certification or within 1 year of hire.
• NIHSS stroke certification or within 90 days of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient assessments and triage in the Level 1 Trauma ED.
• Perform trauma care procedures and support time-critical decisions.
• Collaborate with LPNs, PCTs, BOs, and providers to deliver care.
• Maintain certifications and comply with unit-specific standards.
