Job summary

MetroHealth’s Main Campus Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN to join a 93-bed Level 1 Trauma Center. You will perform patient assessments, triage, trauma care, IV placement, blood draws, and Foley catheter insertion as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities include fast-paced patient care, nursing assessments, and coordination with LPNs and providers to ensure high-quality outcomes for acutely ill pediatric to adult patients. Rotation includes nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and eligible for RN licensure in Ohio.
• Current Ohio RN license; BLS required; ACLS or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current or within 90 days PALS, required within 6 months.
• TNCC certification or obtained within 1 year of hire.
• NIHSS Stroke certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient assessments and triage in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Administer IVs, draw blood, and manage Foley catheter placement.
• Collaborate with LPNs, PCNAs, and providers to deliver care.
• Demonstrate time management and critical thinking in fast-paced shifts.
