Trauma and Acute Care Surgeon

The Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Surgery, Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery, is seeking a candidate for a Faculty Appointment as a Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Surgeon. This position is being recruited at the Assistant Professor level.

The Trauma service admits over 3,400 traumas per year with 20% penetrating trauma. Our team also handles all Emergency General Surgery and exclusively runs our Surgical ICU. We have a cutting edge surgical critical care program and AAST approved Acute Care Surgery fellowship with a current group of 18 Trauma/Acute Care Surgeons. The clinical schedule provides flexibility and ensures time for academic pursuits. The Division provides a robust research infrastructure that supports clinical faculty.

Opportunity:

• Full-time faculty position within the MCW Division of Trauma/Acute Care Surgery
• Participate in the clinical education of fellows, residents, medical students, and other trainees.

Education, training, and experience required:
• Candidates must be Board Certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.
• Candidates must be eligible for medical licensure in Wisconsin.
