Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health in Camden, NJ seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join the Trauma service. You will assess and manage critically injured patients in a fast-paced environment, under attending physicians.

Required: Masters degree (NP/PA), NJ license, board certification, BLS/DEA, with 2–3 years in trauma/ED/critical care. Per diem schedule; opportunities to lead care and contribute to quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of trauma/ED/critical care experience.
• Master's Degree required for NP or PA.
• Active New Jersey license; board certification.
• BLS and CDS/DEA per requirements.

Responsibilities

• Patient assessment and management of critically injured trauma patients.
• Perform critical care procedures (arterial/central lines, intubation, chest tubes, suturing, wound care).
• Coordinate care with trauma surgeons, intensivists, residents and the multidisciplinary team.
• Monitor patient condition; interpret labs and imaging to guide treatment decisions.
• Communicate with patients’ families and provide education and support.
• Maintain detailed EMR documentation of care and outcomes.
• Provide clinical leadership and contribute to staff education.
• Participate in trauma quality improvement and ongoing education.
