Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Ohio is seeking a qualified APRN (FNP/Adult), PA or CNS to join the Trauma team on a full-time day shift. The APP will manage admitted trauma patients on floors and ICU, participate in ED activations, and coordinate care with the health care team.

ATLS certification within one year is required if not already held. Experience in ICU, surgery or trauma is preferred, and new grads with relevant experience may be considered.

Qualifications

• APRN/PA/CNS credential with trauma experience preferred.
• ATLS certification within one year of employment if not already held.
• Experienced APPs preferred; new grads with ICU/trauma exposure may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Take medical histories and perform physical examinations as needed.
• Order and interpret labs and imaging to develop diagnoses and plans.
• Collaborate with care teams and participate in rounds for quality care.
• Prescribe and monitor medications per licensure and policies.
• Educate patients about disease, treatments, and risks.
• Refer to specialists and coordinate discharge and follow-up care.
• Support education and professional development of staff.
