St. Charles Health System is seeking a Physician for Acute Care and Trauma Surgery to deliver comprehensive surgical care for severely injured and critically ill patients.

The role involves working across Trauma Surgical Services, ICU and emergency general surgery clinics, with varied shifts totaling 156 per year. The surgeon will collaborate with multiple specialties, follow state and program guidelines, and participate in quality improvement and community outreach.

Formación

• Graduation from an accredited medical school.
• Successful completion of an accredited residency program in General Surgery.
• Board certified or eligible in General Surgery; active license.
• Annual CME as required to maintain license and privileges.
• Current license to practice medicine (MD/DO).
• Unrestricted ability to participate in Medicare/Medicaid or other programs.

Responsabilidades

• Examine, diagnose and surgically treat critically injured patients and those with emergency general surgery needs.
• Perform patient examinations and document medical histories.
• Order and interpret laboratories, imaging, and other diagnostics.
• Administer medications per guidelines and provide patient education.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to stabilize and treat patients.
