Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network seeks a qualified physician to perform comprehensive history and physical examinations, provide high-quality care, and adhere to evidence-based guidelines.

The role involves coordinating patient care with a multidisciplinary team and communicating with patients, families, and referring physicians. The candidate will educate patients, stay current with medical practices, and protect patient information per safety policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school.
• Completion of residency and/or fellowship in area of specialty.
• Current or recent experience in area of specialty.

Responsibilities

• Performs history and physical examinations.
• Provide cost-effective, high-quality care based on best practice evidenced based medicine.
• Make best efforts to adhere to standardized orders and practice guidelines approved by the medical staff.
• Demonstrates competency in assessment and treatment appropriate to the patient age.
• Provide regular, timely communication with referring physicians, patients and families.
• Coordinates patient care and makes referrals to physicians, nurses, psychologists, nutritionists, etc.
• Teaches wellness habits and educates patients on prevention of health problems.
• Maintains knowledge of current medical practices and skills.
• Maintains confidentiality of materials and follows safety policies.
