Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City is recruiting an Acute Care or Trauma Surgeon to join the Trauma and Surgical Critical Care Specialists group. The successful candidate will participate in surgical critical care, trauma surgery and emergency general surgery within a Level 1 trauma center.

Qualificações

• BC/BE by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery; certified or eligible for Surgical Critical Care.
• Designation as a Level 1 trauma center by ACS and the state of Missouri.
• Opportunity to perform procedures using the DaVinci robotic system.
• Academic practice with UMKC Faculty appointments in Surgery.
• Active teaching role supervising surgical residents in trauma, acute care, and SICU.
• Research integration supported by a large bioanalytical unit and Saint Luke’s Foundation.

Responsabilidades

• Join the Trauma and Surgical Critical Care Specialists group to cover surgical critical care, trauma surgery and emergency general surgery.
• Provide 24‑hour Acute General Surgery, Surgical Critical Care and Trauma Surgery coverage.
• Support perioperative care and management of high‑acuity patients in the SICU with a team including Advanced Practice Providers.
• Engage in teaching and scholarly activities with UMKC and residents.
• Contribute to the academic mission and participate in multidisciplinary rounds and research.
