The UCSF Fresno Department of Surgery is recruiting a Trauma/Acute Care Surgeon with a concurrent leadership role as Associate Program Director for the UCSF Fresno General Surgery Residency Program at Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, California.

This position offers opportunities for academic scholarship, mentorship, and leadership development, with collaboration across clinical and educational missions and potential advancement to Program Director.

Qualifications

• Board certifications in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.
• Fellowship training in Acute Care Surgery or Surgical Critical Care with faculty experience.
• Minimum five years of post-training clinical and academic experience.
• Commitment to academic surgery, resident education and mentorship.
• Experience with residency education, curriculum development and ACGME processes is preferred.
• Interest in future Program Director leadership.

Responsabilités

• Provide Trauma and Acute Care Surgery clinical care and supervision.
• Lead Surgical Critical Care and ICU management duties.
• Supervise residents and fellows in operative and clinical settings.
• Participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives.
• Serve as Associate Program Director for UCSF Fresno General Surgery Residency.
