UCSF Fresno and Inspire Health Medical Group are recruiting a Trauma/Acute Care Surgeon for Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) in Fresno. Board eligible or certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care is preferred; applicants with an AAST-approved 2-year Acute Care Surgery fellowship or a 1-year Surgical Critical Care fellowship and faculty experience in Trauma/ACS are encouraged to apply.

This full-time position offers teaching in a fully accredited 5-year surgical residency,

Qualifications

• Must be board eligible or certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.
• Completed AAST-approved 2-year Acute Care Surgery fellowship or 1-year Surgical Critical Care fellowship.
• Commitment to patient care and education of residents, fellows and medical students.
• Active research involvement in basic science, injury prevention or education.

Responsibilities

• Teach in a fully accredited 5-year surgical residency.
• Provide comprehensive trauma and acute care surgical services.
• Contribute to academic activities and research.
• Collaborate with CRMC/UCSF Fresno faculty and multidisciplinary teams.

Education

Board eligible or certified in General Surgery

AAST approved Acute Care Surgery fellowship

Surgical Critical Care fellowship (1 year) with Trauma/ACS experience
