UCSF Fresno and Inspire Health Medical Group are recruiting a Trauma/Acute Care Surgeon for Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) in Fresno. Board eligible or certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care is preferred; applicants with an AAST-approved 2-year Acute Care Surgery fellowship or a 1-year Surgical Critical Care fellowship and faculty experience in Trauma/ACS are encouraged to apply.

This full-time position offers teaching in a fully accredited 5-year surgical residency,

Qualifications

• Must be board eligible or certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.
• Completed AAST-approved 2-year Acute Care Surgery fellowship or 1-year Surgical Critical Care fellowship.
• Commitment to patient care and education of residents, fellows and medical students.
• Active research involvement in basic science, injury prevention or education.

Responsibilities

• Teach in a fully accredited 5-year surgical residency.
• Provide comprehensive trauma and acute care surgical services.
• Contribute to academic activities and research.
• Collaborate with CRMC/UCSF Fresno faculty and multidisciplinary teams.

UCSF Fresno and Inspire Health Medical Group are recruiting for a Trauma /Acute Care Surgeon for Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) in Fresno. Applicants must be board eligible or certified (preferred) in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. Must have completed a AAST approved, 2-year Acute Care Surgery fellowship or a 1-year Surgical Critical Care fellowship with subsequent faculty experience in Trauma/Acute Care Surgery. The successful candidate must possess a commitment to patient care and have a keen interest in academic surgery, including the education and training of residents, fellows, and medical students. The candidate will be expected to demonstrate research activity along the spectrum of basic science, injury prevention or education.

Community Regional Medical Center is a 650-bed academically affiliated regional referral center and Level 1 Trauma Center and Burn Center. The program is located in Fresno, California a vibrant, growing and diverse city in the Central Valley close to three national parks and three hours from San Francisco.

Salary: $325,000–$400,000 (includes call pay and bonus pool opportunity)
