Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System in Sarasota, FL, seeks a Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join the FPG Trauma team at Sarasota Memorial Hospital for per diem night shift coverage. The Trauma team includes nine Trauma Surgeons and 20 Advanced Practice Providers to manage an ADC of 40-60 patients with seasonal fluctuations.

The PA-C will perform Surgical First Assist in the OR, trauma ED coverage, and ICU rounding; required certifications and Florida license; two years CC/ACNP experience

Qualifications

• Current NCCPA certification is required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited physician assistant training program.
• Two years of current Critical Care APP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Trauma response in the Emergency Department and rounding in Surgical Trauma ICU.
• Provide Surgical First Assist in the operating room for elective, acute, and traumatic cases.
• Perform procedures including chest tubes, arterial lines, and central venous catheters.
