Job summary

ACRT Pacific is seeking Vegetation Management Inspectors to patrol distribution circuits and prescribe tree work along PG&E rights-of-way. You’ll document inspections, coordinate with crews, and communicate with property owners and agencies.

This is an entry-level, outdoor role with safety-sensitive designation. The ideal candidate has TRAQ and ISA Arborist credentials, a GED or higher, and 1 year of VMI experience or related utility work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• TRAQ Certification and ISA Certified Arborist preferred.
• 1 year experience as a VMI or equivalent on utility contract.
• 2-year or 4-year college degree in forestry or related field preferred.
• Ability to identify local trees, read maps and work in rugged terrain.

Responsibilities

• Patrol circuits and prescribe work to PG&E’s tree contractor to maintain yearly clearance.
• Identify and document tree work along rights-of-way; plan and coordinate pruning/removal.
• Notify property owners and obtain authorizations for tree work.
• Act as VM contact for new business and reconstructions; assist in CC&B closeouts.
• Support emergency response, field checks, and coordination with contractors and agencies.
