Job summary

ACRT Pacific is seeking an entry-level Vegetation Management Inspector to patrol circuits, inspect trees along PG&E rights-of-way, and coordinate with crews and clients. You may act as VM contact for new or reconstruction work and contribute to safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires the ability to work in rugged terrain, read maps, and communicate effectively with property owners and agencies. California residency is emphasized and a strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class C driver’s license required.
• 1 year experience as a VMI or equivalent on utility contract.
• ISA Certified Arborist preferred.
• 2- or 4-year college degree in a related field preferred.
• Ability to identify local trees and growth rates.

Responsibilities

• Patrol distribution and transmission circuits and prescribe work.
• Identify trees that may impact PG&E facilities and document inspections.
• Coordinate with tree crews and clients, and notify property owners.
• Assist in emergency response and field verifications as needed.
• Maintain data in VMDSR and related databases using handheld devices.
