Job summary

Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center is seeking a transport professional to move patients to and from diagnostic tests, rooms, and discharge areas. This role supports nursing and ancillary departments during evening shifts in a dynamic hospital setting.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and AHA BLS certification prior to completing orientation. Evening shift differential applies and eligibility for hospital benefits is included.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for stroke transition from inpatient to outpatient care. Works with Stroke Program coordinators, clinical providers, care coordinators, social workers, and clinic staff. Collaborates with Community Paramedicine team and Clinical RX-2-Go Pharmacist.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Registered nurse with a bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in nursing required.
  • AHA BLS prior to end of orientation period.
  • Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Preferred nursing experience in neuroscience, emergency department, or quality
  • Stroke Certification (Examples include: ASC, NVRN, SCRN, CNRN)
