Job summary

Valley Health System in the United States is seeking a Transporter to move patients by stretcher, wheelchair or cookie chair to various locations within the facility during the second shift.

Responsibilities include transporting medications with patients, connecting patients to oxygen if needed, and maintaining accurate documentation. A high school diploma and BLS certification are required, with excellent customer service and communication skills preferred.

Job Description Transporter is responsible for patient transport by stretcher, wheelchair or cookie chair to designated locations throughout the facility. Upon request, transports medications with patients and connects patients to O2, if needed.

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Certification & Licensures

• BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required
• BCLS training provided

Qualifications

• Previous healthcare experience preferred
• Ability to transport patients in wheelchairs, stretchers or cookie chairs required
• Ability to stand or walk for periods of time required
• Ability to use handheld electronic devices/computers required
• Excellent documentation skills required
• Excellent verbal communication skills required
• Ability to provide excellent customer service required
