Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Part-Time Transporter at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, PA. Evening shift with weekend and holiday rotation.

The transporter will move patients within the hospital using appropriate equipment, ensuring safety and timeliness. Responsibilities include exercising good judgment for transportation, respecting patients with empathy, maintaining safety during transfers, and adhering to infection control practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior hospital transport or patient care experience preferred.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.

Position Purpose

• Responsible for the transporting of patients throughout the hospital with appropriate equipment and in a safe and in a timely manner.

As a Transporter you will:

• Be responsible for the transporting of patients throughout the hospital with appropriate equipment and in a safe and in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate good judgment in selecting proper mode of “transportation”
• Be respectful of patients and show compassion and empathy
• Maintain Patient Safety in Preparation for Transport to Ancillary Areas as Well as Upon Return to Unit
• Demonstrate Proper Infection Control Practices and Precautions in All Patient Care Activities

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Prior hospital transport or patient care experience required
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required
